Singer/songwriter Lisa Rose
has some serious emotional baggage. You can judge for yourself by listening

from My Closet." Lisa Rose prides herself on writing songs that
are sometimes bitter, sometimes beautiful, and sometimes downright
depressing. Depending on what frame of mind you’re in, Lisa Rose delivers an
eclectic mix of mood swings. While the topic of relationships is a recurring
theme, other songs by Lisa Rose reveal the world of fandom and its activities,
such as cosplay and reenactment.
Not ashamed of having been
a Madonna wannabe in the 1980's, Lisa Rose adopts a singing style similar to
Madge. Her soft voice, un-tweaked and sometimes off-key, is accompanied by acoustic guitars and
electronic beats set to a Pop Music style, which sometimes infuses elements of Jazz,
Rap, Blues, Rock, Reggae, Country, and Bossa Nova.
Guitarist Mike Flash is an
integral part of the music. He fills the dual role of lead guitarist and
songwriting partner. While Lisa Rose only plays rhythm guitar, Mike Flash
provides lead guitar accompaniment with tasty melodic phrasing. As sole
author of the track titled "Everybody
Knows (The Lisa Rose Anthem)," Mike Flash also demonstrates his
talent for rhyming lyrics to a funk beat.
Lisa Rose's interests
extend beyond making music. Lisa Rose co-hosts the
Internet-based television show, 'The Vortex of Enlightenment' (VOE TV)
alongside its creator, Sal Monaco. She hosts an Internet radio show named, "Things I Learned the Hard Way"
on
ThinkTwiceRadio.com, a grassroots Internet
radio station created by Richard Wicka, producer of the The Five Minute
Video Series. Lisa Rose also appears as a performer and panelist at Anime
North, Canada's premier fan-run Anime convention.
