Matt Urban

At the request of community activist Norm Skulski "The Polish Prince", who led the effort to create a monument to honor World War II hero Matt Urban, Lisa Rose and Mike Flash wrote and recorded a song about the most decorated soldier in U.S. history. "Matt Urban "The Ghost"" aired on WXRL's radio program, Polish Blood, with Norm Skulski.

 
Tying the Knot

On a personal note, Lisa Rose and Mike Flash are happy to announce their upcoming marriage in September of this year.

 
Lisa Rose And Anime North 2008

Lisa Rose and Mike Flash appeared at Anime North 2008, Canada's premier fan-run anime convention which ran from May 23-25, 2008. On Friday night, they attended the Masquerade Skit Contest Cosplay & Kimono Fashion Show and photographed some amazing costumes. On Saturday night, they performed in costume in the Mississauga Room. Afterwards, Lisa Rose, still wearing her sexy Geisha Girl wig and oriental dress, modeled barefoot for artist Cameron Calkins, as part of the Pencil Dragon's Drawing Demo in the Ottawa Room. When Cameron noticed that Lisa wasn't wearing shoes, he kicked off his shoes and socks and finished the panel barefoot. Lisa flexed her feet all through the session and at one point even said, "Free your feet and your mind will follow." When the panel ended, Lisa and Mike headed over to the Jpop Dance Party for some late night boogie-dancing. When they ran out of groovy dance moves, they retired to their hotel room. Lisa changed into her Spongebath Betty nurse attire, Mike into his scrubs. Sweet dreams occurred and on Sunday, Lisa and Sal Monaco had the pleasure of interviewing celebrity guests, including Japanese Guest of Honour, Halko Momoi, and voice actors Brian Dobson, Sonny Strait, Trevor Devall, Jeff Nimoy, Quinton Flynn, and Spike Spencer.

On Wednesday, April 2, 2008, Lisa Rose co-hosted the ThinkTwiceRadio.com radio show, Sal Monaco - The Oracle of Enlightenment. Lisa Rose, Sal Monaco, and Tom Pecoraro chatted with Laura Belozerco about her exotic chocolate business and with Rob Nesbitt about his creative endeavors.

 
Feed Me Chocolate

On Saturday March 1, 2008, Lisa Rose and Mike Flash recorded a live version of their new original blues song titled "Feed Me Chocolate". Lisa Rose submitted the track to public radio station WBFO 88.7 FM in response to a call for local blues songs to be considered for "WBFO Gives Me the Blues Vol. 5," a compilation CD for which the selected tracks were determined by an Internet-based voting system. "Feed Me Chocolate" by Lisa Rose is one of the featured tracks.

Lisa Rose And Artvoice's Battle Of Original Music (BOOM)

Lisa Rose collected the most votes in Week Eight (August 2 - 8, 2007) of ARTVOICE's Battle Of Original Music (BOOM). Chosen as a runner-up by popular vote, she rounded out the bill for the ARTVOICE Music Party BOOM Finals at The Tralf Cafe on January 19, 2008. Congratulations go out to the Grand Champion of BOOM, Dali's Ghost. Thanks to all music fans for voting and supporting local original music. Thanks to ARTVOICE, too!

 
Lisa Rose And Anime North 2007

Lisa Rose made several appearances as a performer and panelist at Anime North 2007, Canada's premier fan-run anime convention which ran from May 25-27, 2007. Dressed in costume as a witch and wizard, Lisa Rose and Mike Flash kicked off Friday night with a magical, musical performance for the Anime North Coffeehouse. On Saturday morning, Lisa and Mike, dressed as Speed Racer characters "Speed" and "Trixie", had the pleasure of performing the Speed Racer theme song, "Go, Speed Racer, Go!," for Momiji award winners Peter Fernandez and Corinne Orr. Later on that evening, Lisa joined independent filmmaker Sal Monaco for the Independent Film panel. On Sunday afternoon, Lisa and Mike ran two back-to-back panels: Songwriting 101: The Basics; and Songwriting 102: Singalong.

 
Lisa Rose Music Is Art Live Performance 

Lisa Rose's performance for Music Is Art Live @ The Center aired on WNED ThinkBright TV on May 1, 2007. Songs featured include "Fire" and "Eyes Off You". Other highlights of the show include include performances by the band Elektromat and interviews with visual artists Richard Tomasello and Roxanne Amico.

 

McDonald's Global Casting Photo Gallery

Back in April of 2006, Lisa Rose submitted her photo and story to the McDonald's Global Casting website, which allows people from across the globe to share with the world what they love and how they live. Each day between April 3 and August 20, a person is featured in the "Story of the day" section of the website. There is also a photo gallery, which contains images submitted by those people who shared their stories. Although Lisa Rose was not selected to appear on McDonald's bags and cups in 2007, her picture remains part of their photo gallery.
